'Dissolve Perak assembly now'

‘Our new PM, it is time for you to do something to win back the rakyat's heart - dissolve the Perak state assembly and face Pakatan Rakyat with true guts.'
On Pakatan keeps 2 'bukits', BN wins Btg Ai
Frustrated Malaysian: Syabas! Syabas! Syabas! to all voters particularly at Bukit Selambau and Bukit Gantang for their support of Pakatan Rakyat. You all have done a marvellous job to send a message to the new PM that no matter what type of dirty tactics he uses, power is still in the hands of all the almighty voters. The ban on talking about the Perak takeover and on Altantuya clearly showed that the new government is still the same as the previous - dirty and corrupted. If you are clean, why not let the people talk about issues? From the banning of the two issues, it is very obvious that there is something behind it.So, our new PM, it is time for you to do something to win back the rakyat's heart - dissolve the Perak state assembly and face Pakatan Rakyat with true guts.Poor: I'm proud of PKR's win and hope it will continue to win in the next general election. Originally I'm from Taiping and have seen a lot of dirty tricks by BN during elections. There are so many dirty ways the Barisan people use when polling occurs at Aulong, Kamunting and Taiping. The people of Malaysia want a change, not only Perak but throughout Malaysia. Corruption is rife and I just can't count all those who have really betrayed the country by their greed.I have seen enough so I prefer to migrate overseas. I have truly seen Malaysia in a critical condition becoming like Mexico or Brazil.Shame on all the top people who hold their top positions but only care for their bank accounts and not for those in need. Shame on you.John Johnson: I sincerely want to thank all the rakyat of Kedah and Perak for showing to the world and to Malaysians what ‘people power' is all about. Syabas to all of you.We are developing so fast and we need to move forward with new ideas, a new togetherness and foster all the goodwill between us Malaysians.Let the other states look at the Pakatan states and learn from them.
We are not supposed to go back in time where we still listened to fables from our politicians and rulers who tell us what the law is, what religion is or how we should dress. Two dynasties have controlled the position of prime minister in this country so it is time to open it up to the people. Let them choose whom they want to be PM.This is what they mean by equality, liberty and freedom. Time to break these huge dynasties like the Berlin Wall so that they crumble to the floor and the nation becomes one.Michael: It is not the economy, personal charisma or the political party that are important in deciding the future of the political struggle in this country. It is all about fighting against corruption.Corruption in term of political corruption, judicial corruption, economic corruption and racial corruptionWe, the rakyat cannot accept a corrupt leader no matter what his background is or which political party he comes from. A corrupt leader has to clear his name.Nothing will move down a correct pathway without a proper and fair judicial system.
This is actually the most important aspect of corruption-fighting as judges are granted the power to correct whatever that is perceived as wrong without interference.A country will never be able to progress without a healthy judicial system. The rakyat will definitely get angry and upset if their money is stolen and spent by the very people who control it.
Economic corruption, like paying a hefty premium for a helicopter should not be repeated in the future.Racial corruption is rather unique in our country is based on our racial composition. Leaders cannot be seen to be helping certain races and ignoring the others.A policy that does not provide assistance to all races especially the poor should be discarded. Helping all and helping the poor first is the first step towards reforming our nation.A government with minimal corruption is what the rakyat wants.Kenny Gan: The four by-elections in the Peninsula shows that BN now finds it hard to win elections as it has lost the non-Malay vote to the opposition with Malay support not increasing to compensate.BN has not only lost the non-Malay vote, it has also lost the vote of young educated voters which transcend all races. The partisan Election Commission displays its fear of young working voters who may be away in urban centres by putting by-elections on working days. This to try to depress their turnout in favour of older generation voters who are thought to be more likely to vote for BN.To win back the non-Malay vote requires real socio-economic reforms to ameliorate or roll back the myriad of government policies which discriminate against the non-Malays.To win back support from young voters require the repair and rejuvenation of all the damaged democratic institutions which have been abused by the ruling party.‘Can BN do it?' or rather, the proper question should be ‘Can Umno do it?' as Umno holds all the levers of power with the component parties mere hapless spectators. The short answer is ‘no'. The first would be fiercely resisted by the ultra-nationalists in Umno. The second would threaten Umno's hold on power. As Umno is unable to implement the necessary changes, Malaysia now enters a dangerous political phase where the ruling party is fearful of losing power, yet cannot reform to save itself. We may find increasing repression and oppression of democratic space as the ruling regime tries to maintain its hold on power in the face of decreasing political support. The death throes of a dying regime will be a tumultuous period for the country but when it is over, a new era will come for Malaysians like a new dawn which will rise up like the sun.RR Sr Citizen: We hope and pray that wisdom will override all factors with the very highly learned Sultan of Perak will now dissolve the state assembly following the assembly's latest episode of passing a resolution to dissolve it unanimously.Any move to avoid the dissolution will only earn the wrath of the common people of all the races. This may also trigger the beginning of class struggle within the Malay community that was initiated by the former PM Dr Mahathir that resulted in the amending of the Constitution thereby depriving the sultans of their immunity. The silent majority of the nation of all races want real peace in these turbulent times of economical uncertainty.Hopefully, the Sultan of Perak will take a neutral stand and dissolve the assembly and let the people decide who should form the next Perak government. This will place the Sultan on the highest pedestal and restore the confidence that was lost owing to the series of untoward incidents that had taken place in the state of Perak to which the Sultan was also a party.Andrew Goh: The biggest casualty of PR's victory in Bukit Gantang is the dignity of the Sultan of Perak - thanks to Umno.In making a big issue on PR's refusal to accept the sultan's decision, Umno has unnecessarily and openly put the decision of the sultan to the voters for approval and lost.Umno is not actually supporting the sultan but using his name for its selfish purpose by forcing the voters to vote for Umno to show their approval of the sultan's decision.Their gamble failed and in the process the dignity of the Sultan has suffered. Who then is the traitor? On Najib dealt a blow in by-elections Eternal Optimist: It seems premature to associate BN's defeat to Najib's premiership.Quite another matter to say that it is a reflection of BN leading up to the tri-elections.
It is also fair to say it may reflect on the public's perception of Najib and the scandals to date. But he's only been PM for a few days! The coming GE and any other by-elections that may come in the next six months or so however, will definitely be a reflection of his performance as PM.Let's see...
