During the Barisan Nasional supreme council meeting yesterday, nearly every component party leader agreed that in the eyes of public, the Pakatan Rakyat are the victims and the ruling coalition are the usurpers of power.
Only one Barisan Nasional leader from Penang spoke out strongly about holding onto to the Silver state come what may. But that voice was in the minority.
The coalition knows it will be tough going to change the view that Perak is essentially a power grab, and an inelegant one at that.
This widely-held perception has helped soften the stance against asking for a dissolution of the Perak assembly and fresh polls.
