Biggest mistake by BN

Stephen Ng: The Perak deadlock is inevitable and a disgrace to the BN. Perak BN may now call for an emergency meeting to pass a vote of no confidence against Nizar Jamaluddin, but that would mean two things.

In the first place, its menteri besar was appointed in haste, and the motions to appoint MIC's Ganesan as speaker was done before the assembly meeting was even convened.

This is disrespectful to the royal family of Perak. These two implications are definitely not in favour of BN.

Whatever the case is, BN is in a big dilemma. It will continue to suffer from the ill-feelings of the people of Perak.

Judging from a survey online, I daresay that Malaysians at large are against the power grab in Perak, which has reached a stalemate.

No amount of negotiation would solve the problem save for a fresh election, Mr Prime Minister. This is by far the biggest mistake by BN since the last general election.
