The attorney-general is wrong ...
Kenny Gan: The attorney-general was wrong to say that Nizar will lose a vote of no-confidence in the assembly even if the three defectors were excluded. It's true that the speaker cannot vote. So it will be 28-27 in favour of BN but he can resign and deadlock the assembly at 28-28. The Perak constitution says that no business can be conducted until a new speaker is elected but a new speaker cannot be elected in a deadlocked House. Hence the assembly must be dissolved.
