The Penang state executive council has accepted Parti Keadilan Rakyat's proposal for Mansor Othman to fill the post of deputy chief minister 1.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said this was decided at its meeting yesterday.
"The state executive council unanimously accepts the proposal if Mansor gets elected as Penanti state assemblyman in the by-election," he said when commenting on the vacancy for the DCM's post following the resignation of incumbent Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin on April 8 to pursue further studies.
